  •  QTL Experiment in Brief
Animals:The first population originated from a cross of 2 divergently selected lines for high or low (H/L) primary antibody response to SRBC. The second population was the feather pecking F2 population (FP).
     Breeds associated:
    n/a
Design:Total antibody responses to KLH were measured at 7 d after s immunization at 12 wk of age for the H/L population and at 36 wk of age for the FP population.
Analysis:In total, 170 and 180 microsatellite markers were chosen for the H/L and FP populations, respectively. Regression interval mapping was used for QTL detection. Two different genetic models were used: 1) paternal half-sib analysis and 2) line-cross analysis
    Software:GeneScan software and Genotyper software
