    Animals:The population was a backcross between 2 partially inbred lines of commercial layer chickens.
     Breeds associated:
    n/a
    Design:The chicks were vaccinated with at 1 d of age and subcutaneously inoculated at 6 d of age. Age at death and presence of absence of tumors by visual examination was recorded from 30 to 140 d of age.
    Analysis:Eighty-one total markers were chosen based on selective DNA pooling analysis. The Cox proportional hazards model was used for analysis, in addition to regular least squares regression.
