Animals:Animals were from paternal half-sib families of the Fleckvieh breed.
     Breeds associated:
    n/a
Design:A granddaughter design was used. Animals were genotyped for 28 microsatellite markers on chromosome 5 and analyzed for milk production traits.
Analysis:Three methods were used for QTL mapping: interval mapping, linkage analysis by variance component analysis, and combined linkage disequilibrium and linkage analysis.
Software:QTL Express, CRIMAP, LOKI, ASReml, LDLRAMS
