QTL Experiment in Brief |
Animals: | Animals were Holstein, Jersey, and crossbred bulls and cows. |
Breeds associated:
|
Design: | Animals were genotyped using the Illumina 10K, BovineSNP50, or BovineHD BeadChip, with all animals imputed to sequence level genotypes, and GWAS was performed for milk quality traits. eQTL detection was also carried out. |
Analysis: | A mixed linear model was used for GWAS. For each variant in the dataset, the association with the expression of each gene within 1Mb of the variant was estimated using a linear model. |
Software: | FImpute, GCTA, METAL, EMMAX |
