QTL Experiment in Brief |
Animals: | The data set consisted of 709 Angus/Salers cross heifers
|
Breeds associated:
|
Design: | Animals were genotyped using the GeneSeek Bovine GGP50K BeadChip to identify loci and leading edge genes associated with TBRD (times bred) and HCR1 (heifer conception rate). Data was collected on healthy animals from one ranch in central Montana. |
Analysis: | A genome-wide association analysis (GWAA) identified loci and a gene set enrichment analysis with SNP data (GSEA-SNP) identified gene sets and leading edge genes influencing TBRD and HCR1. |
Software: | Golden Helix SNP and Variation Suite (SVS), R - GenAbel |
