QTL Experiment in Brief |
Animals: | The data set consisted of 140 pre-weaned Holstein calves.
Breeds associated:
n/a
Design: | Animals were genotyped using either the GeneSeek GGP50 BeadChip or the BovineHD BeadChip. Animals genotyped with the GGP50k were imputed to HD density using BEAGLE. This genotypic data was then used to validated QTL previously associated with bovine respiratory disease in a larger pre-weaned Holstein calf study.
Analysis: | An additive genotypic association test was used to test 200 loci previously associated with bovine respiratory disease from one of three previously analyzed populations (California, New Mexico, and combined California and New Mexico) to validate these loci within an independent Holstein calf population from Wisconsin.
Software: | Golden Helix SNP and Variation Suite (SVS), BEAGLE |
