  •  QTL Experiment in Brief
Animals:DNA samples were obtained from the Cooperative Dairy DNA Repository bor bulls comprising 2 half-sib families. Sire 1 had 96 sons and sire 2 had 212 sons.
     Breeds associated:
    n/a
Design:Multiple traits were measured falling into 4 groups: the udder group, the body form group, the feet and legs group, and the dairy capacity group.
Analysis:Half-sib regression based on least squares using the program QTL Express was used to analyse each sire family individually under a granddaughter design model to estimate the segregation status of each sire.
    Software:Genoprob and QTL Express
