QTL Experiment in Brief |
Animals: | Nineteen Danish Holstein sires with 1,385 progeny-tested sons were analyzed using a granddaughter design. |
Breeds associated:

|
Design: | Estimated breeding values were calculated using a BLUP ignoring family structure between sires. The EBV were obtained for 5 milk production traits. |
Analysis: | Cattle were genotyped for a total of 26 markers on BTA6,BTA11, BTA14, and BTA23. Five milk production traits were analyzed using both an ST and an MT QTL mapping procedure. In both QTL mapping procedures, traits were analyzed using linear mixed models. |
