    Animals:Animals were steers from half-sib families from an experimental line of Angus, Charolais, or Alberta Crossbred bulls and the University of Alberta's Crossbred dam line (crosses among beef synthetic 1, beef synthetic 2, and dairy X beef synthetic lines).

    Design:Animals were genotyped for SNPs and microsatellite markers in regions of interest on BTA14 and BTA26 and analyzed for carcass traits.
